On Friday, April 25, Dr. David MacFarland officially retired after 35 years of service to Kansas State University. Dave’s retirement dinner was held in conjunction with the Miller School’s annual student awards banquet, which was attended by over 150 students, faculty alumni, friends and industry representatives.

To honor Dave’s long service to K-State, the Miller School has established the Dave MacFarland Journalism Technology Fund, an account to raise money for needed software and equipment expenses. To date, nearly $8,000 has been raised, but more contributions are needed.
